Make Your Own Hornby Island PEACE WORK!
Published April 20, 2012
With Caroline James BFA., MFA.
In the Peace Work workshop students learn many art-making skills including gesso, under/over painting, crackling, sanding and staining to create an aged veneer, as well as stenciling. We’ll listen to great music, talk about making peace in the world and probably laugh a lot,..:)..
Each student will take home a genuine jewel of Hornby Island “Peace Work”, 6″ x 7″ (value $45.00), in the color of their choice with or with out sparkles! with hanging hardware on the back. Cost is $60.00 per student per 3 hour class. You can see examples of “Peace Work” designs on my flickr page or if you’re on Face Book you can go to the “Caroline James Fine Art Studio and Hornby Island Peace Work” Fan Page to see all the Peace Work albums and choose what kind of peace you’d like to create. These make wonderful Christmas and birthday presents!
Just get together 4 to 6 people and call me to make a date! There will be one Peace Work work shop per week from April through the summer of 2012 so if your family is coming to Hornby this year book a spot now!
Classes will take place at Caroline James Fine Art Studio
5020 Sandpiper Rd. Hornby Island
