Natural History Exhibit – Field Trips & Speakers program with full descriptions

Natural History Exhibit

Hornby Island Community School – 2100 Sollans Road
Through the Natural History Exhibit entrance. Follow the signs.

Our mission is to inspire people of all ages to develop a deeper personal relationship with the natural world with an exhibit of mounted specimens, insects, fossils, bones and activities for an up-close and fun learning experience.

Exhibit Open: Wed to Sat, 10am – 3pm
Hornby Island Natural History Exhibit admission is by suggested donation of two dollars per person.
Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

July 3 & August 28 Hornby Island Young Naturalist Club

*Pre-registration is essential as space is limited.
Call Rachel in Natural History at (250) 335.2125 or register in the exhibit. Please do not leave a message. $10 per family.

Thursday Speaker Series

July 19 “Common Birds of Hornby Island” – Mike Yip
July 26“The Beauty of Dragonflies”– Terry Thormin
August 2 “Fossils of Hornby Island”– Graham Beard
August 9 “Underwater World of Hornby” – Amanda Zielinsky

*All presentations are held at 2pm in the school library.
Entrance is through the Natural History doors.
Admission by donation.
