Aden Crane
Aden Crane first started working in one of the earliest Stained Glass Studios in Gastown, Vancouver, BC, in 1970. In 1979 he moved to Hornby Island and bought an existing Glass business in 1981. Since then he has created thousands of stained glass works in all dimensions. He has invented several processes for stained glass including extreme solder sculpturing and was an early pioneer in the use of computer parts and stained glass multimedia panels.
Aden has found that the cultural atmosphere in the Hornby community fosters the development of original artistic license and he enjoys the process of exhibiting his latest works. Aden is passionate about his artistic creativity as well as music, writing and agriculture. He has exhibited at most major Art and Craft exhibitions in BC and Alberta and his work has found its way around the globe.
Currently Aden's work is only available on Hornby Island either at Fibers in the Ringside Market, for smaller works, or at his studio by appointment.
