There was a lot of celebrating happening on Hornby for Canada Day, with 3 different art show openings and the annual Bail and Sail at the Thatch Pub. The Island Gallery hosted openings at their new location at the Ringside Market and for their show at the Hornby Hall. Just around the corner from the Hall, the Hornby Island Arts Council also held an opening for their annual “Close to the Heart” group show. All the openings resulted in a Canada Day Art Crawl – the creativity and talent that Hornby has to offer is astouding and it was wonderful to way to kick off summer.
