The Hornby Island Writing Studio
Owner, Facilitator: Rachelle Chinnery
At the Hornby Island Writing Studio Rachelle facilitates an affordable and accessible way to experience creative inner dialogue. She has been journaling for 44 years and is a passionate advocate of finding peace on the page. Rachelle has a degree in Sociolinguistics and is in the process of completing an M.A. in Integrated Studies with a focus in Writing for Wellness.
Creative developmental writing has been defined as secular meditation. It is an introspective practice for exploring growth, working through creative blocks, and finding equilibrium. But it has also been proven to have significant effects on physical health as well.
