Michael Willliams
Michael moved to Hornby Island in 2010 and was inspired by the abundance of local art to begin painting. Guided by his life long experience with design and colour, his work reflects cherished childhood summers at a rustic family cottage in Western Ontario. His pieces speak to an appreciation for a simple life, a love for old wood and a creative sense of national pride.
Country Boards are created using reclaimed wood, acrylic paint and varied stains and varnishes. They invoke rustic sensibilities and national pride. Each piece is handcrafted and individual, ranging in size from small ornaments to large wall hangings. Every piece is suitable for either indoor or outdoor decoration.
