Fords Cove Resort and Store

Matthew Fredbeck - proprietor

Matthew Fredbeck grew up at the Cove, taking over Ford Cove Resort and Store from his mother a few years ago. The Store is an important stop for most essentials, has a great DVD selection, and has also developed a reputation for fantastic thin crust pizza. The cabins and campground at the Cove are a marvelous place to stay year round. Open 8am - 9:30pm during the summer and 8am - 8pm during the rest of the year. Fords Cove Café

Just accross the lane and new in 2012 is Fords Cove Café Featuring Chef Ben. It's Open July 7 for lunch & dinner and features fish and chips, burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, salads and more.

Hornby Island Diving

Hornby Island Diving keeps busy with the underwater crowd year-round.

You can often find fresh prawns and tuna on the dock and during the summer you can soak in that great Cove ambience while munching on Fords Cove Café fish'n'chips. The food is great and the location can't be beat for taking in dazzling sunsets.

Fords Cove and the Community

The Cove is a favorite place of many Hornbyites for a sunset, a treat and a place to sit and catch up with friends. With a magnificent view and an atmosphere of west coast ease it is a place where we come together to enjoy island life. Starting from the dock you can walk along the sandstone beach to Toby Island marveling at the alien stone structures along the way. Or take the Spit Trail to the Ferry Dock and Thatch Pub.
